By the time the man was caught on a US$3.00 counterfeit Viagra online purchase, his sales had already reached $2,300 a day.
The man, from Bangkok, had used the pills as a "prevention" technique, according to a statement posted to his website.
The drugmaker said the pills were manufactured in the country and sold in the US.
The counterfeit pills were "designed to have a different look in order to attract more customers".
"Counterfeit and counterfeit Viagra were not included on the product and are therefore not considered authentic," it said.
The US Food and Drug Administration said it was in "disappointed condition" at the alleged incident.
